Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run: How to Unlock the Mandalorian & Grogu Mode
If you've been to Hollywood Studios lately, you may have heard whispers about a secret mode inside Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Spoiler: it's real, and it involves Mando and Grogu. What Is the Mandalorian Mode? Disney quietly introduced a Mandalorian & Grogu experience as an alternate storyline for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Instead of going on a run for Hondo Ohnaka, your crew gets recruited by the Mandalorian himself for a special mission — all set to a recognizable score from the Disney+ series. The experience features:New pre-show dialogue featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu Alternate mission briefing with Din Djarin's signature gruff delivery The same ride mechanics, but with a completely fresh narrative layerHow to Unlock It The unlock method is surprisingly low-tech. Here's what works:Book your boarding group or individual Lightning Lane early — capacity is split between the standard and Mando modes. When the Cast Member checks your party in, ask if the Mandalorian experience is available that day. Not all days have it active. The mode rotates — it's not available every single day, so flexibility in your schedule helps. Cast Members will sometimes hint at it if you're wearing Mandalorian or Star Wars merch. No guarantees, but enthusiasts tend to get tips.Pro tip from us: If you're visiting with a group, split up and try both modes on the same day. The missions feel surprisingly different even though the ride hardware is identical. Is It Worth the Hype? Honestly? Yes — especially if you're a Mandalorian fan. The alternate mode adds emotional weight to what's already a fun ride, and Grogu's presence in the pre-show is genuinely endearing. If you miss it, don't stress. The original Hondo experience is still excellent, and the ride itself delivers one of the most interactive cockpit simulations in any theme park worldwide. Planning Your VisitBest time to ride: Rope drop or during evening parades Wait time tip: Use the Lightning Lane Multi Pass — Smugglers Run rarely hits over 45 minutes with it Photo op: The Millennium Falcon exterior is one of the best in all of Galaxy's EdgeThinking about visiting Hollywood Studios soon? Disney Park Reservations Through the App: What International Visitors Need to Know
The My Disney Experience app is your control center for a Disney World trip. But if you're visiting from outside the US — especially if you're unfamiliar with the system — it can be overwhelming at first glance. Here's the plain-English guide. Before You Even Open the App You need two things before making any park reservation:Disney account — create one at DisneyWorld.com (free, takes 2 minutes) Valid park ticket — purchased in advance. You cannot reserve a park without a ticket already linked to your account.Important: Park reservations do NOT replace your ticket. They're an additional step on top of purchasing admission.Step-by-Step: Making a Park Reservation Step 1 — Download the App Available on iOS and Android. Search "My Disney Experience." It's free. Step 2 — Link Your Ticket Go to Profile → My Tickets & Passes → Add Ticket. Use the code printed on your ticket confirmation email or the barcode on a physical ticket. Step 3 — Make the ReservationTap the magnifying glass → Park Pass Reservation Select the date Choose which park (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom) Select which guests in your party (everyone needs their own reservation) ConfirmThat's it. You'll receive a confirmation via email and it also shows under your app reservations. Common Problems (and Fixes) "My ticket isn't showing up" Wait 15-30 minutes after linking. If it still doesn't appear, check that you used the correct account email and didn't accidentally create two accounts. "Park Pass Reservation option is greyed out" Your ticket may not have reservations included. Some discounted or special tickets have restrictions. Contact Disney directly via chat on DisneyWorld.com. "I linked my ticket but can't add family members" You need to set up a Family & Friends list in the app. Go to Profile → Family & Friends List and add each person with their own Disney account, or as a managed guest if they're under 18 or don't have an account. Do You Need a Reservation for Every Day? Yes — as of 2026, every park visit requires a separate reservation. If your plan changes and you want to switch parks on a given day, you'll need to cancel the existing reservation and rebook (subject to availability). Can You Do Park Hopper Without a Reservation? Yes. The Park Hopper option lets you visit a second (or third) park after 2pm without a reservation for those additional parks. Only your first park of the day requires a reservation. Our Tip for International Visitors If you've purchased a multi-day ticket package through a travel agency, confirm with them that your tickets are already linked or that they'll send you a code to link them yourself. Packages bought through third-party resellers sometimes require an extra step. Need help navigating the whole booking process? 7 Essential Items for Disney World You Cannot Forget
Disney World days are long — typically 12+ hours on your feet in Florida heat. What's in your bag determines whether you end the day exhausted but happy, or miserable and sunburned. Here are the 7 things we tell every single client to bring. 1. A Refillable Water Bottle Hydration is everything. Orlando in summer hovers between 90-100°F (32-38°C) with humidity that makes it feel hotter. Disney has free water stations throughout all parks, and the refillable bottle cuts your spending dramatically. A 32oz bottle with an insulated sleeve keeps your water cold for hours. Skip: Buying bottled water inside the park at $4 a pop. 2. Comfortable Walking Shoes (Broken In) Not new shoes. Broken-in shoes. Disney World guests average 8-12 miles of walking per park day. New shoes will blister you by noon. Wear your hiking shoes or running shoes that you've already put miles on. Our recommendation: Shoes with arch support and thick soles. Sandals are fine for shorter visits but suffer on long days. 3. A Poncho (Not an Umbrella) Florida afternoon thunderstorms are daily events in summer — usually 30-45 minutes of heavy rain, then sunshine again. A compact poncho takes up almost no bag space and keeps you dry without dealing with a bulky umbrella on crowded paths. Insider tip: Buy ponchos before you arrive. Inside Disney parks they sell for $12-18 each. A pack of 10 on Amazon costs less than one park poncho. 4. Portable Phone Charger (Powerbank) The My Disney Experience app runs constantly. Mobile ordering, Lightning Lane, PhotoPass, wait times — your phone is working all day. A 10,000mAh powerbank will fully charge most phones twice over and fits easily in a daypack. Look for: Dual USB-A/USB-C ports so the whole family can charge simultaneously. 5. Sunscreen (SPF 50+) Theme park visitors routinely underestimate Florida sun exposure. Even on cloudy days, UV levels are intense. Apply before you arrive at the park and reapply every 2 hours — especially critical if you're going on water rides. Tip: Face sticks are mess-free and great for kids who won't cooperate with spray. 6. Snacks from the Hotel Disney food is excellent. It's also expensive. A $6 granola bar from your hotel breakfast bar can replace a $12 Mickey pretzel mid-morning and let you save the budget for the real meals. Pack:Protein bars or nuts Fruit pouches for kids Crackers or trail mixYou're allowed to bring outside food into Disney parks (no glass containers, no alcohol). 7. A Small First Aid Kit Blisters happen. Headaches happen. Kids scrape their knees. Pack a small travel kit with:Adhesive bandages (multiple sizes) Ibuprofen or acetaminophen Moleskin for blisters Antihistamine (bee stings, unexpected reactions)Disney parks have First Aid stations, but they're out of the way and the lines can be long during peak hours.Bonus: The App Itself Before you arrive, spend 30 minutes inside the My Disney Experience app. Set up mobile ordering at a restaurant you plan to visit, check wait times so you understand how they work, and link your Lightning Lane selections if you have them. The more familiar you are with the app, the less time you lose figuring it out inside the park. Planning a trip and want someone to handle all the logistics? That's exactly what we do.
